Bring on the Heat! (warning: Swearing and awesomness) Empty Bring on the Heat! (warning: Swearing and awesomness)

Michael cracked his knuckles as he sat up. He had pitched a tent the night before, due to the fact he had no where else to go. He rubbed his eyes and grabbed at a bottle of water. "Waked up Heat, we gotta get going." Michael called in a hushed tone. The Torchic stirred, revealing the cute fluffy ball was actually a Pokemon. Michael took a sip from the water and splashed a bit in his face, then reached for the tin bowel for Heat. He poured some water in the tin and set it in front of his Pokemon. Michael yawned and stretched as Heat pecked at the water.

Michael grabbed his shirt and vest and threw them on. His head popped out of the neck of his vest and Heat chirped. Michael turned to look as Heat was trying to move his shoes. Michael laughed and grabbed his shoes from his fluffy partner and patted his head. Heat shook his entire body and did a little hop. Michael grabbed his medicine pouch and clipped it to his belt. He unzipped the tent door and rolled outside. He stood up and got a good stretch in and started to take down the tent. The tent folded into a neat pile that didn't take up much room in his bag his father gave him before they mad there separate ways. He unzipped the biggest pouch of the black and red bag and neatly put the tent in.

Michael dug around to see if his father had left him any surprises. He found five pokeballs and a note that read, "Be safe and follow your dreams, -Dad." Michael smiled and put the note in his back pocket. He clipped each ball onto his pocket and picked up Heat. "You ready for an adventure bud?" Michael smiled looking at his partner. Heat chirped and placed himself on Michael's shoulder. He dug into the vest with his claws to make sure he wouldn't fall. Michael nodded and slung his bag onto the opposite shoulder. Michael started walking towards the forest and saw the Gym. Michael and Heat exchanged glances. "I know what you're thinking bud, but you're gonna need to be a bit stronger before we take a Gym Leader on." Michael reasoned with Heat. Heat chirped happily and poked Michael with it's beak. Michael laughed and started walking again. Michael entered the forest and took a deep breath, "The air is so much cleaner then Hoen." Michael said. Heat jumped onto the bag, then onto Michael's belt and landed on the ground. Heat ran up beside him and chirped so Michael knew where he was. Michael and Heat walked for about five minutes when someone shouted, "Hold it right there!" Michael spun around to see a guy in a black mask and a brown clothes. Michael stepped in front of his partner and asked, "What is it you want?" The guy laughed and held out his hand, and with a snarled reply, "I want your friend."

"Why don't use that hand to put your head back up your ass." Michael growled. If there was one thing that pissed him off, it was thieves, and over priced food. Michael returned Heat to his ball and clipped it to his belt. "You shouldn't have done that boy." The thief said. Michael stuck his middle finger out and got ready to fight. The masked guy ran at Michael and threw a right hook. Michael ducked and sent a punch to his gut. The thief bent over and shouted, "KILL THIS MOTHER FUH----" Michael cut him off with a swift kick to the jaw. The thief's upper body was launched backwards, while his lower body was lifted of the ground and went forward, making him land hard on his back. Michael's eyes darted around, searching for whoever the masked failure called for. Michael was forced to the ground from behind and fell face first. He threw his elbow back and hit a face. Whoever was on Michael rolled off in pain and Michael got back to his feet. Two more bozo's had shown up. "I hope your ready for an ass kickin' " The wearing a dark red mask said clicking his fists. The guy on the ground stood up and fixed his mask, which was dark blue. Michael yawned and covered his mouth. "You guys bore me." He taunted and set his bag on the ground.

Bring on the Heat! (warning: Swearing and awesomness) Empty Re: Bring on the Heat! (warning: Swearing and awesomness)

The man in the red mask ran at Michael, he rolled his eyes and crouched. Michael caught the guy's leg and lifted up, sending him face first into the dirt. The other thief grabbed a knife and tried to stab him. Michael grabbed just below the wrist and brought the arm to the top of his shoulder. The thief dropped the knife and begged, "P-please I-i'll leave you alone." Michael closed his eyes and replied, "I can't let you just leave, you haven't learned your lesson." Michael brought his arms down, breaking the thief's arm at the elbow. Michael brought his right leg up and spun around, using the momentum to land a solid kick to the side of his head.

The other masked thief ran away and Michael sighed. He looked around and then grabbed Heat's ball. "Come back out bud." Michael mumbled, releasing a red beam from the ball and setting his friend free. Heat shook it's body and unruffled it's feathers. He chirped happily to see Michael was fine and there wasn't any danger. "I'm glad that's over." Michael let out a sigh and sat against a near by tree. His stomach growled and Heat chirped. "See, this is why you eat breakfast." Michael laughed and got to his feet. He grabbed his bag and remembered he already searched it. "Oh crap, we're gonna have to go find somewhere to grab a bite." Michael muttered. He picked Heat up and put him on his shoulder. Michael began walking back to town when he heard a scream. "Food can wait, someone needs help. Wow, never thought I'd be one to say that." Michael spoke to Heat and began running towards the scream. A girl about fourteen or maybe fifteen was clutching onto a purse a masked man was trying to steal.

"Haven't I beaten enough of you idiots today?" Michael shouted, making himself known. This mask was pink and the guy was bigger then Michael. "If I do say so myself, Pink is very befitting for you." Michael taunted, trying to force all attention on him. Don't be stupid, this is how your brother died. Michael thought to himself. The brute let go of the purse, sending the girl backwards onto her back. "You better hope blood is a good color on you kid." The brute cracked his neck and started to walk towards Michael. "Blood isn't a color, but nice try." Michael continued to mock him, "If you want there is a preschool back in Hoen, I'm sure they could teach you the rainbow." Michael put Heat on the ground behind him and looked over at the girl. Heat nodded and started running towards her. The brute looked at Heat, just like Michael planned. "FLYING KICK BITCH!" Michael shouted running at the masked guy. He jumped off the ground and landed a kick to his chest, then his face. Michael used the momentum from the kicks to flip backwards and land on his feet. Michael walked over to Heat and the mystery girl and helped her up.

"Thank you for helping me." She smiled at him. Michael smiled back and replied, "No problem, these idiots weren't to much trouble for me." The girl brushed herself off and started walking back to town. Michael's stomach growled again and he silently swore under his breath. The girl turned around and laughed, "if you want I could treat you to some lunch, it'd be the least I could do after you helped me." Michael picked Heat up and nodded, "Thanks, I'm Michael by the way, and this is Heat." Michael introduced the duo and Heat added a chirp. "I'm Lexie, nice to meet you." Se replied and lead them to a small little restaurant. They were seated and Michael ordered a Burger and a plate of sweet and spicy Pokeblocks. Lexie ordered a chicken salad. "So you mentioned Hoen a little bit ago right? Are you from Hoen?" Lexie asked as they waited for their food. Michael nodded and replied, "I'm from Kanto, but I grew up in Hoen after my brother died. Thats how I met Heat, my dad gave him to me as a present, then they discovered Ichigo and I just had to adventure." Michael explained as he smelled the burger cooking and the sound of a Block Machine turning on. Heat chirped at the sound and nuzzled Michael's face. Lexie laughed and Michael smiled. "What can I say, Heat can't resist a Pokeblock." Michael laughed as they brought out their food.

After a few minutes of talking and eating they left. Lexie gave Michael her Xtransceiver number and headed home. Michael waved goodbye and started back out to the forest. "I can't believe crime rates have gone up." Michael mumbled to himself. "Kinda reminds me of when dad would tell me stories of that Team Aqua and Magma, I wonder if the same type of thing is going on here." Michael talked to himself walking through the forest. He set up his tent and cooked a can of food Lexie gave to him before he went off on his way. "Well bud, Tomorrow we'll hit the route for some training and we'll go get that badge!" Michael announced as he flung down his sleeping bag.

While it was short, and fairly noninvolved in your Pokemon, I commend you for your writing. I enjoyed the story quite a bit, (I'm a sucker for a good brawl.) I dub this judged FAIR, with a rating of 7/10. (Try a bit longer next time. ^^') And award thee 2 levels to be assigned as you see fit, and I'll discuss a Poke' award to be assigned by a Mod. in the 350-600 range. Good work, and I hope to see you in my Gym, The Redwood Gym soon!
