Rhyhorns, BEWARE

Seph thanked the heavens it was winter, this desert was heated like a furnance. He look to Lucius, who seemed to be doing fine in the heat, "Well buddy, looks like we're lost." He had left hi father meerely two weeks ago and had just kept walking. Now he was at this strange desert that was filled with pokemon. He looked to the left, Sand, to the right, more sand some boulders and a cactus. He looked ahead and saw what looked like another boulder. He wondered if it really was though. He continued on, a silver bow was strapped to his back tightly, he couldn't let the bow be damaged or leave him. He didn't know what would happen if it broke or left his presence. His clothes were long, perfect for keeping the sun from roasting him. His brown hair was covered by a hood, but his emerald eyes glittered.

Lucius was a yamask, and Seph's only friend. He had met Seph when he was a human, Seph doens't know who he is but Lucius liked it that way. Seph would probably start bawling and apologizing anyways. He floated in the air, holding his mask with his tail as he looked about.

It was kind of cold.

That part was understandable, but in the desert it seemed awfully unusual. Since, you know, the desert was supposed to be hot. Skye trudged on, her Emolga settled peacefully in her arms. She had no choice ( at least, she thought so ) but to go through the harsh desert, but thankfully ( ? ) it was Winter, and she didn't have to face the heat of it all. The girl glanced down at Aria, who had fallen asleep. The teen smiled at the sight and planted a small and light kiss on the Emolga's head, still walking.

The girl immediately froze, though, when she spotted something in the distance. There was sand everywhere, yes, and rocks and cactuses and all that stuff scattered around messily, but there was something else - some sort of shape that did not look like the others. And it was.. moving? A Pokemon, maybe? The teen let her thoughts wander but did not go a single step further, a bit fearful of the figure.

It was heading in their direction, and there was something floating behind it. A Trainer? Relaxing because it wasn't something dangerous, the teenager decided to instead push it further. Shaking Aria up and onto her head, Skye cupped her hands together and called : "Heeeeey!" then she stood there, waiting. When nothing happened for a moment, she yelled : "Hey, you!" She could at the very least ask for directions - earlier the girl had gotten the feeling that maybe she wasn't going the route she had planned.

"Hey, you!" someone called. Seph turned towards the sound of the voice, it was a different direction of where he had originally been looking. He saw the girl and wondered what she had been doing, he approached her and asked, "What's up? Lost? If you're looking for directions, I don't really know where i'm going either...I'm Joseph!" he held out his hand for a hand shake with a joyful smile. He was happy to meet someone that wasn't his father running after him and trying to force him to kill something.
Lucius floated higher up for a bit before floating back down with a spin, obviously happy to meet the trainer and their pokemon too, "Yyyyaamaaask!" Lucius sang Heeeelloooo! the yammask floated up by the flying squirell pokemon and gave a greetings.

The teen grinned as the trainer approached her, and in no time flat he was introducing himself. Skye gave a curtsey and a warm smile. "Pleasure to meet you, Joseph-kun! The name is Skye." said the 14-year-old happily. The tone in her voice faded just a bit when her new acquaintance said that he did not know where he was going either. The girl gave a little sigh - after all, that was what she had hoped for.

"That makes two of us, then." she chuckled, grasping Joseph's hand gently and shaking it. Her gaze fell on his Yamask, and the ravenette smiled. "I've never seen many Yamask before in my hometown.. where did you get yours?" she asked brightly as Aria perked up and waved a white little paw rapidly and excitedly. "Emo emooo!~"Hello, hellooo!~ she responded cheerfully, delighted to see another Pokemon besides herself.

"Oh...he saved me, this is Lucius" he gestered to his pokemon, who gave a happy twirl. "I took care of him a bit, then I had to leave home for reasons" He added, not wanting to say why unless the girl asked. He looked about, there seemed to be nearly nothing in this desert, not even pokemon. That where he would be wrong.
Lucius hugged his mask a bit as he floated about, wishing for something to do. It was boring as a ghost pokemon, he wished he could talk to Seph like he used to. Lucius missed his human days, he began to grow a bit deppressed as the memories and floated a bit lower than usual.

❙ ♪ ❙― : "Nice to meet you then, Lucius-kun!~" the teenager added brightly, flashing a quick smile to Joseph's Pokemon before straightening up. Seeing her new acquaintance look away, Skye cocked her head and followed his gaze ― only to find that it was staring out into the emptiness of the desert. It had only now occurred to her that it seemed lonely here in this supposed-to-be-humid place, but she wasn't expecting too many people either.The ravenette stood there blankly for a bit, considering to say something else to the young man but was interrupted by a faint sound in the distance behind them.

☁ ― ☁ Blinking and whipping around, Skye spotted something blue and red roll towards them quickly. Roll..? Unable to compute what was going on and beginning to panic at the sight of a sudden and hostile Pokemon, Skye clutched Aria to her instinctively and took a step back. "Joseph-kun, what Pokemon is that?" the girl asked confusedly, one hand holding her Emolga tightly while the other pointed towards the ball coming at them at top speed. Her gaze nervously scanned the Pokemon in an attempt to realize what it was, but was only able to spot some sort of blue bag sitting patiently underneath a tree nearby the blur coming at them.

"I don't know....but it looks like it wants nothing to do with us..." he said as the blue doughnut looking thing raced past them in a frenzy, seeming to want to get AWAY from something. He shrugged, and noticed the bag. He picked it up and looked inside it, star dust. A valuable item that could be sold for big cash. He wasn't interested in it, "You want it?" he asked Skye, not caring for the cash it could rake in if bargained correctly.

❙ ♪ ❙― : "Then.. where is it going?.." the teenager watched as the blur of blue and red rolled right past them, and she turned back to where it had came from. "Maybe it got scared by something? Can.. Should we go see?" Skye asked curiously, giving a nod of thanks and accepting the 'gift' while speaking. Truthfully she only liked it because it looked odd, but that was a silly thing to say aloud. "If we're not going to follow that Pokemon, then let's keep going, okay?"

"Don't know...but i'm going to go see just WHAT scared it." He looked at the trail in the ground that the phanpy had left and followed it. He didn't wait to see if the teenager that added strange endings to his and Lucius's name followed. He wondered if it was something dangerous, Ah well, my pokemon can probably take it he thought. His cloak blew behind him as he strolled along with his Yamask floating just above his head. The yamask turned and started to float backwards, Lucius was curious to see if the girl would try to stop him or come with him.

❙ ♪ ❙― : "Eh?" the girl whipped her head around, back towards Joseph, and watched for a moment as he started to walk off. Hearing a Pokemon cry in the distance, the ravenette looked at Aria, sighed, and began to follow, calling, "H - hey, wait for me!"

☁ ― ☁ Although as she started to run, Skye nearly tripped over something and found a bag similar to what Joseph found. "What are these, anyway?" she murmured, picking the tiny sack up and placing it into her own, hurriedly going after Joseph. "Don't be too ambitious - you don't know what's out here!"

"That's the point. Also that looks like some Soft Sand, I think it ups the power of ground attack-" Seph was interrupted by the ground rumbling as something dug it's way under him. He stopped and stared at the ground, unsure of what was going on. Below him, a sandslash was clawing it's way through the ground in a pattern of tunnels. It finally broke to the surface with a mean looking glare at the human boy that stood before it. The sandslash smirked and waved it's claw up and down as if to say "bye bye" and kicked a rock near Joseph's feet. Joseph cried out as the ground below him suddenly fell along with him. The tunnels that the sandslash had made were caving in!

❙ ♪ ❙― : [color=#A4A4A4]"..?" Skye had been listening to Joseph's response patiently until the ground had begun shaking briefly and she caught sight of a Sandshrew looking rather devious. A bit afraid and stepping towards Joseph in a touch of fear as the ground began to shake some more, the teen suddenly was flung into a blur of activity.

☁ ― ☁ The girl gave a shriek as the desert ground suddenly collapsed under them and she and her acquaintance were falling. Where? Where were they falling? What was happening, what?! Thoughts raced through her mind as the duo fell rather deep, but it took only a few moments for the ravenette to land, miraculously, on her feet with her Emolga in her arms, both stunned.

The sandslash laughed and leaped into the air before diving into the ground and digging away, bored with the trainers as they stood around. Joseph was annoyed at the Sandslash for running off like it did. Joseph gave a huff to express his annoyance and said, "I wish I had some kind of grass pokemon to show him who's boss. He laughed at us!" Joseph tried to reach the edge of the pit but the sand just collapsed and sent him sliding back into the pit of sand, "Well, looks like we're stuck..."
