A Slight Unexpected Detour: Knight meets Rook

Alex jumped off the bus his boots sending up a sandy cloud around him. The sun shimmered down as the bus gave a small cough, and with a burst of exhaust, left Alex now facing the desert ahead. Knight gave a small yawn from the backpack holding her, and jumped out, stretching. Alex looked up at the sun and wincing, pulled some tinted goggles over his eyes, turning everything a slight shade of red. Coughing at some of the dust, sand, and exhaust left behind by the bus, he also pulled up a bandanna over his lower face. Shaking her head, Knight just prodded Alex, and started walking, her intentions obvious. "Yeah, yeah, I know its getting late already, that bus does take a long time to get anywhere it seems...." Alex's voice was muffled behind the bandanna as he laughed, and followed behind the irked Pawniard.

After a hour of hiking through the desert, Alex plopped down to sit upon a carved stone. Knight hopped up onto his lab, and curled up on his lab, careful not to stab him once again. Sighing, and patting Knight's head, he pulled a small canteen from his pack, and pulling the bandanna low, took a swig, and watched the falling sun. The Pawniard's shallow breathing indicated sleep, and smiling kindly at the Pokemon, Alex picked her up, and walked through a arch into some kind of ruined area, with pillars of stone and rock jutting up in various places. Leaning against one of these things, he shivered, the coldness of the desert not being lost on him. "How ironic....." He muttered under his breath, "My brother, the Fire type Gym leader, forgets to give me matches.... Or a means to make what he specializes in..." He laughed at this, and laid Knight next to him, leaning back and moving his goggles up onto his forehead and stare at the stars.

"ZAYNE! ZEKE! GET BACK HERE RIGHT THIS MINUTE!" The enraged female voice screamed into the air. A girl with strange blue hair and differently colored eyes glared down at a fleeing duo of pokemon. Kiara glared at the pokemon as she chased them into the ruins and around the area a bit.
"Zayne, I told you this was a bad idea man!" The small green pokemon spoke to the orange one with dark orange markings. The small green pokemon was a Larvitar that had a scar on one eye that had caused him to be half blind, this was Zeke.
"How was I supposed to know rubbing Oran Berries in her hair would make it blue!?" The orange pokemon replied, I heard that Oran Berries make human hair become un-knotted and she's always going through so much every morning to un-knot it-WAH! Zayne had dodged a incoming rock that had been thrown by his trainer to try and slow him down. SHE'S GAININ' MAN WE'RE DONE FOR! the charmander cried,
You mean YOU'RE done for! Zeke said before turning into an ally way and diving into a pot. The trio had been running in a circuit several times and Zeke had noticed the pot as a hiding spot. Little did he know, a trainer was beside the pot he had hid in.(Alex)

The night was nice and cool, Knight shivered and snuggled up closer to Alex, who squirmed from his sharp friend's appendages. Alex snuffled and turned over, only to bonk his head on a pot, and grumbling turned over again, just in time to hear screaming, and a kind of 'Whoosh', and the rattling of the pot.Blinking away the tiredness from his eyes, he stood up, and looked into the pot to see a Half-blind lavitar staring back at him, sheepishly he grinned and waved slightly to the Lavitar, before turning around to see a Charmander being chased by a Blue-Haired girl, he waved at her, hoping to attract her attention, hopefully this Lavitar was hers. Knight yawned and stood up beside Alex, only to see the charging Charmander, and leaping to his defense, interposed herself with Alex, her blades pointed threateningly at the fire type.

The charmander screeched in fear of the sudden shape leaping in front of it in the darkness. Zayne halted and the force made him lean forward as he used an ember attack, thinking the pokemon was wild and planning to harm him. The firey red orbs shot towards the shape in front of him as he attacked.
Zeke pulled himself out of the pot and hung on the edge as he watched Kiara catch up. Kiara had noticed the trainer and approached him, "H-Hi, S-Sorry for bothering you but my pokemon are being a bit uh, rambunctious and h-hard to c-control..."

Knight cried out in pain as the fiery orbs hit her right in the face, causing a great amount of pain and damage. The power of it, knocking her against Alex, stabbing him once again. Grimacing he hugged the knocked out Knight protectively, as he looked at the breathless trainer, or at least she seemed breathless. "Its fine really. Its just now Knight is hurt..." He looked down at Knight, and then noticed for the first time, that he was bleeding from Knight's blades digging into him, again. "Ow......" He laid her down gently, and started taking bandages out his pack, proceeding to wrap his arms in new bandages once again. "So..... Whats up with your hair?  You fall into a vat of Oran berries?" He laughed slightly, wincing again at the bleeding and pain in his arms from catching Knight.

(Seems this will be a recurring theme... xD And I find it amazing that He (She) doesn't have any scars on her arms from Knight yet. xD)

"OhmygodIamsosorry!" Kiara panicked, "A-Are you okay? Do you need anything?" the blue haired girl was frightened of the stranger, but also didn't want to leave them to pain her pokemon had caused because she couldn't control them. She reached into her bag and tried to return her frightened charmander, who finally accepted going into the pokeball. She left Zayne out, for Zayne was simply standing there and staring at the trainer. Are they a guy....or a girl...? Zayne wondered as he studied the new trainer.

Alex sat down near the Knight, trying to get a better leverage to bandage his arms. "Don't worry about it, you did nothing. And yeah, could you hold this Bandage?" He held out a piece of the cloth like substance, and brushing a bit of his hair out of his eyes, continued to wrap his left arm, the bandage turning a faint crimson from the blood. "Ya' know.... You never answered my question, why is your hair such a..... Distinguishing color?" He asked her, wincing again as the bandage's anti-septic sunk in from its adhesive.

Kiara did as told, held the onto the bandage and spoke, "My pokemon thought it would be funny to rub oran berries in my hair...they're a bit erm...curious I guess I should say." She gave a nervous laugh as the trainer bandaged themselves up and stood. Only now did she notice, she had no clue whether this person was a boy or a girl like her. She was too embarrassed for not knowing to ask so she kept silent about it. She shuffled her feet nervously and asked, "So uh...sorry for uh...disturbing you..."

Zeke was still contemplating on just what this character was, he noticed that his trainer too didn't know and spoke, Kick them where it counts for boys...maybe then we'll know... even though he knew that his trainer wouldn't understand him. He was instead picked up and held instead of being replied to.
