Miles entered the lab. He sighed. "I can't believe I'm getting a pokemon...this is so exciting!" He sat down in a chair in the lab and waited for someone to show up to tell him what he should do.

A professor in his lab coat approached the young man and spoke, "Ah, I assume you're here for a pokemon and your starting kit." He was an assistant of the main professor, who was out currently. "What kind of pokemon would you like?" he asked as he strolled over to the drawer containing pokeballs and the pokedex for the trainer. His coat was long and white which stood out against the young assistant's black short hair. He waited for an answer, wondering just what the professor was up to.

Miles looked through the pokemon available. He sighed when he saw some weren't there. "Hmm...I'm sure I'll find a great pokemon here somewhere...I just know it." His eyes fell on one pokemon. He hadn't really considered getting that pokemon...but it seemed perfect for him. Miles grinned and adjusted his fedora. "After a bit of thought, I think I'll pick Sneasel."

"Ah, we have one left" the professor spoke. He brought out the supplies he had gone to the drawer for and brought out a small brown bag. He then made his way over to a strange machine that looked similar to an everyday trading machine. He typed in a few numbers into a number pad in the machine, after a moment of whirling the machine seemed to sputter before dropping a pokeball into the waiting professor's hands. The professor tossed the ball into the air, causing it to open up and reveal the sneasel that awaited inside.
"Here" he spoke. He dropped the pokeball in the bag with five pokeballs and a pokedex and tossed the bag to the new trainer.

Miles caught the bag. "Thank you!" He looked down at the Sneasel he now owned. He kneeled down. "Hello, there! I'm your new trainer!" The Sneasel grinned and nodded. Miles looked up at the professor. "I'm going to take a guess and say it's a girl?"

(Do I choose it's gender? If yes, it's a girl.)

"Yes, you are correct. Now if that's all, I'd appreciate if you leave, I have work to get to and more trainers are sure to come in the near future, I don't mean to be rude though." The scientist seemed to be a bit panicky, wanting the boy to leave, but not wanting to be rude. He sighed and said, "I apologize..I'm just not sure how to ask you kindly to leave...I just have a lot of work, and if I don't get it done I don't get paid and...you get the idea I assume."

Miles nodded. "It's fine. I'll leave, I don't exactly have any reason to be here." He called back his Sneasel and put her pokeball in his pocket. He was about to leave when he looked back at the scientist and grinned. "I'm sure you can find a way to be polite in the future." He exited the lab.

When he exited, he called out his Sneasel again. The Sneasel grinned when she saw Miles. Miles grinned back. "Okay, we need a name for you..." He walked around the Sneasel. He grinned. "You look like an Aversia. Like it?" The Sneasel nodded happily. Miles grinned. "It's decided! Aversia it is!" He offered his shoulder to Aversia and she jumped up onto it. Miles straightened up and headed on his way.

(How do I end a topic...I don't have any reason to be at the lab anymore. Razz
