Indiana Harvey and the Crystal Lapras

Harvey approached the ruins, he had traveled through Steeli City and healed his pokemon already. He looked up to Joey, his newly named Rattata who had refused to leave Harvey after he had helped it out in it's terrible time with a trainer's ryhorn. "Raattataa~" Soo Cool~ Joey said in awe as the ruins lay before them. Harvey smiled and walked forward, there was sure to be some interesting stuff in here! He looked at the abandoned houses, nobody knew why the people here had died out, just that one day he suddenly disappeared.
Harvey was happy to have a companion to have out and walking around with him, even though he favored Crystal, there wasn't enough water for her to come out and keep him company. So far he had been all by himself with her the entire way.

A Ralts quickly chirped as he saw the ruins in the distance, and following close behind him was a male trainer. "Avery, try not to run off without me okay? We need to stick together!" He said cheerfully, as if he really didn't mean his words. Avery nodded but continued to run in the direction of the ruins, and Riley chuckled following him . The Ralts quickly made his way to the ruins, but in his excitement, ran and bumped into Joey, "Ra! Ralts!" Oops! Sorry about that! he apologized, before looking up at the trainer and wondering what the man had that could be useful. Riley quickly caught up and saw the two, "Oh, hi! I guess you already met Avery!" He said noticing that his Ralts was glancing at the two. "I'm Riley, what's your name? Oh and are you going to enter the ruins as well?"

Harvey looked down at the ralts with curiosity, he looked back up when its trainer made an appearance. He nodded to the man's question and said, "I'm Harvey, and this is Joey" he pointed to the rattata on his head, "It's said that it's dangerous to go into the ruins alone, so I'm still a bit hesitant." He lied about being hesitant, he would have totally gone in there alone. He could see that there was a giant temple in the center of the ruins, and he probably wouldn't be able to bring out Crystal in there. He wondered if the boy would come with him perhaps.

Riley nodded, "That's true, but you cannot learn everything by waiting. Sometimes you got to go and see stuff for yourself." He said, then without another thought started to walk into ruins, "So do you want to come?" The boy asked, Avery close behind him. Even though people told him that there were many strong Pokemon in the ruins he didn't seem to care. It was an adventure, and nothing, well maybe pranking someone, was worth to stop finding out what was inside.

Harvey nodded, a bit thankful, "Sure!" He walked behind Riley, shoving all thoughts and memories of The Family aside. He was interacting with his first friendly trainer! He couldn't wait to see what adventures he had. His hand went to his pocket as he thought of Lapras, how he didn't want to lose her in these ruins. SO he clutched the pokeball so nothing could take her as Joey rode around on Harvey's hairy head. He asked, "Nice Ralts, was it your starter pokemon?"

Riley grinned, "Well then let's go!" he said walking in, however when Harvey asked him about Avery his grin possibly turned even wider, "Yup! Avery is my first and only Pokemon." He said and the Ralts seemed to agree with an enthusiastic nod. Riley continued on forward, then stopped all of a sudden. "Do you hear something?" He asked inquisitively, peering into the darkness when the sound came again, yet more audible

Thud

"Okay so I'm not crazy." He muttered as a faint glowing light appeared in the darkness.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

With each thud, the light slowly floated closer, and closer.

Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud.

Now the light was in view it wasn't really a light at all, but a Pokemon, a Golett to be exact, it's shape barely recognizable in the soft glowing light which came from inside of it. "Oh...seems like we have company." He said blinking. Avery quickly the moment Riley even uttered those words, fired off a series of Confusions at the Golett, their colors lighting up the darkness even more as they quickly made their way to the Pokemon. To slow to resist, the Golett was hit in the face by 2 of the three Confusions, but then to the Ralt's surprise, lifted up his arm to block the third, and it fizzled uselessly. Then almost if transfixed on what the Golett did next, Avery watched as the Pokemon slowly put his hand down, and pulled up the mud from the ground, and suddenly hurled it back towards him, the earth was almost invisible as it flew gracefully in the air, and with a sickening splat covered the Ralt's entire body.

A baltoy quickly spun around the golett and around Avery and his trainer and stopped in front of Harvey. "Balltooy!" it cried, enraged. It spun again and slapped mud into Harvey. Harvey cried out and backed away from the baltoy. He picked Joey from off of his head and spoke quickly, "I'm sorry, but you're going to have to fight. Crystal can't come out in this space!" Joey looked at Harvey, terrified, but turned to the baltoy anyways with a nervous chatter. The baltoy spun again, trying to throw mud at the Rattata.
Thanks to the pokemon's speed, he was able to avoid it in time and ran up to the Baltoy and bit it, dealing massive damage since the baltoy was part Psychic type.
The baltoy glowed a bit as it tossed the rattata off of it with a confusion attack. Joey squeaked as he was thrown back into Harvey, who caught the small rodent. He set the rodent carefully on the ground, the rodent took off as soon as his paws hit the floor. He ran directly towards the baltoy, and used yet another bite attack.

Avery quickly shook the mud off, not wanting it to dry and harden so that he couldn't move at all. The Ralts screeched, and continued to fire off Confusions as fast as possible, all straight at the Golett. Caught off guard by the fact a Pokemon could escape the mud that quickly, it fell victim to the confusion attacks again. In a fit of rage, he rolled into a Defense Curl, normally not doing much to defend himself against the special attacks, and Avery blinked before preparing another Confusion, not realizing that the Pokemon slowly began to move in his curled up position like a ball, rolling quietly along. Avery fired off the confusion where the Pokemon used to be, and as the psychic wave hit the ground, he realized what happened to late. The little blob of light fizzled, which signaled to the Golett to use Rollout to it's full advantage. Avery was struck and flew back hitting the wall. Mercilessly the cyan Pokemon rammed into the Ralts, before a shadow leapt out in front of Avery, and put it's hand out. Riley's eyes glowed purple, and the Golett seemed to do something strange. It floated in the air, flailing it's huge arms around, hitting the ruin walls, before flying straight towards the Baltoy. The trainer's eyes reverted to it's normal hue and calmly took out a Pokeball, throwing it at the Golett. "If you don't mind, I'll rather you not hurt my partner. If you do, the consequences may be....harsh." he muttered.

The baltoy was rammed as the golett broke free. The baltoy gave a cry and was knocked into the rattata who had a bite prepared. The rattata bit into the baltoy and caused it to scream in pain. The baltoy wriggled free and fled before the trainer could throw a pokeball even if he wanted to.

Harvey turned his attention to the golett, who was about to attack Joey. "Joey!!" he cried as the rattata was smashed into between the golett and the wall. Harvey ran over to Joey and picked him up, the rattata was surprisingly still alive and didn't seem too hurt. The albino boy sighed in relief and stood up, the golett came rolling back to him. He squeaked and ran out of the way, he jumped onto the wall that had enough ledges to cling onto and hung there with all his strength. He gripped the small rocks with both hands as Joey hung over his shoulders, terrified. The golett smashed into the wall and backed out and rolled back towards the ralts that had been attacking it earlier.

Avery tried to use another Confusion, but weariness caused the only little shimmering blob to fizzle uselessly against the Golett as he rolled again towards the exhausted Ralts. Suddenly the Golett was plucked off his feet again, and hung in the air. "I'll take it you will not hurt my friends as well." Riley said, but this time, instead of throwing him, the trainer put the Pokemon down. [color=orange]"I guess nobody's perfect after all. But, please try not to hurt people and Pokemon to the point that they won't go on." He said, before picking up Avery. The Golett seemed to think about his words, and walked off into the darkness, the faint light slowly extinguished by the shadows. "Are you and Joey alright?" he asked.

(Hey that went better than Lillia's cave adventure!...my god what if Lillia got psychic powers back when they met Rai and Pulsar?)

The grip Harvey had gotten on the wall crumbled before he could reply and he fell on his back, "OW!" he cried. He got up, still holding Joey, "Y-Yeah, we're fine." He returned the rattata to his pokeball, and didn't notice the yellow one inch spec that clun to his shoulder. Cymo studied the other trainer and crawled onto Harvey's neck and then nose. Harvey felt a tickling sensation and noticed Cymo, "Dammit Cymo how did you get out of your pokeball!?" Harvey exclaimed as the joltik laughed and remained on his nose.

Riley grinned slightly as Harvey's wall support fell. "Cymo? Is that the thing on your nose?" Suddenly he fumbled around his pocket for something dark, which had a small glint to it and put it on his face. Wearing his glasses he asked, "Due to the size and yellow color, is it safe to assume that it is a Joltik?" Avery now having a bit of his energy regained jumped from his arms to the ground. The Ralts gave a trilling note, as if to remind the group to move on. Riley took off his glasses and pocketed them before nodding. "Let's hurry so that we can make it through this ruins!"

Harvey nodded to everything Riley said. He walked with him, it took about ten minutes of walking before a sandile bursted for the ground and a misdrevious floated down from the ceiling. Luckily, the halway had become a bit bigger, ok humongus. Harvey took out Crystal's pokeball and tossed it into the air. The large lapras appeared before them and gave a hum as she started out instantly with a water pulse on the sandile, since it was part dark he knew the ralts probably couldn't handle the sandile. He sent Lapras after it. If he had to, he would try to get Joey to fight again, but it was highly against their chances.

Riley watched as the Misdreavus and a Sandile appeared in the ruins. "Man, these Pokemon just won't quit." he said a slight frown appearing. "Avery you sure you can take on the Misdreavus?" he asked the Ralts, the Feeling Pokemon replied by firing off his signature Confusion at the Misdreavus. The Ghost dodged easily due to the fact he was floating, and the Misdreavus responded with a Psywave. The intensity of the attack seemed to cause the air to shimmer, and it headed towards the Ralts, who couldn't move fast enough to dodge it. Suddenly the Pokemon glowed a soft white light, and started levitating in the air, managing to cause the attack to miss by a dress hair, and fired off more confusions in his wake. The Misdreavus dodged only a few of them, and a dull purple light went straight from the Pokemon to that Ralts. Grudge caused Avery to feel exhausted, and due to the fact that he was already tired from before, collapsed to the ground. Giving a piercing laugh, the Ghost-type fired off Psywave after Psywave on the almost completely helpless Pokemon. Riley put his hand up, to get ready to use his power, but Avery slowly lifted his head and shook it. He wanted to prove that he could fight battles alone. The trainer stood still and couldn't decide whether to help him or not.

A shadow quietly watched all that was happening.

The lapras sent water pulse after water pulse after the Sandile, the water of rings left darker rings on the floor as they missed and wet the floor. When one finally struck, the sandile hissed and looked around, in search of the opponent, but only hit itself in confusion. Crystal gave another cry as she sent an ice shard, using the moisture from the previous attacks to create the icy ball. The air became firgid as she sent the suddenly shattered into shards ball at the Sandile, the sandile screamed again and fled into a softer part of the floor. It didn't plan on coming back.

The Misdreavus grinning deviously continued to astonish the exhausted Ralts, continuing even though the Ralts couldn't fight back. Suddenly the Ghost-type stopped attacking, and floated back, before a strangely colored Psywave slowly appeared in the air above the Pokemon. The Psywave seemed to be of a crimson shade, or more commonly known as the red hue of blood, while the energy seemed to be aggressively moving around the air. To late, Riley realized that this Psywave was meant to kill. When suddenly, a figure moved from the shadows pushing the Ralts out of the way, and the Psychic attack hit storm gray armor, and it fizzled uselessly to the ground. The Misdreavus looked at the Golett, and something similar to fear registered in it's eyes, before she ran off into the darkness. Riley looked an expression of shock on his face registered before he broke out in a grin, "Ah! You learned well!" he said almost laughing. The Automation Pokemon looked at Riley nodding, before slowly gesturing to his pouch where he kept his Pokeballs, "Huh, you want a second chance?" The Psychic asked, while the Golett gave a single note of affirmation. "Alright then!" Riley quickly grabbed a red and white capturing device and pressed it, before a reddish beam of light sucked in the Pokemon.

Harvey watched the ball twitch a bit and release, letting the golett back out. Harv wondered why the pokemon didn't just stay in the ball, maybe it wasn't it's choice. Harvey didn't know anything about pokeballs, just that if you threw them it would catch a pokemon. He debated trying his luck and give the golett to the trainer but decided against his. Cymo skittered about on his face and let loose a bit of electricity, signaling that he wanted to get moving. Harvey spoke up, "Hey, Cymo getting a bad feeling from this place, maybe we should keep moving" he suggested.
